Overview

The Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Sharda University, Greater Noida, is conducting an in-house workshop on copyright documentation and registration process. The workshop aims to enable faculty members in preparing copyright documents out of an original work, following the format and procedures prescribed by the University. It aims to explain the filing and registration process with the Copyright Office, Government of India, including submission of online copyright application using Form XIV and the Statement of Particulars, payment of prescribed fees, 30-day waiting period for objections, examination and responses to discrepancies, and the issuance of the Registration Certificate.

Objectives of Event

1. To help faculty members understand how to prepare copyright documents from an original work in the format prescribed by the University.
2. To apprise the faculty about University's internal process for copyright filing, including the documents, approvals, and authorisations required before submission of application.
3. To guide participants through the filing and registration process with the Copyright Office, Government of India.
4. To encourage faculty members and research scholars to register their original work and strengthen the IPR culture of Sharda University.
