Overview
The Environment Club under the aegis of Dean Students’ Welfare in collaboration with the SDG Cell and Estate Department is organizing ''Waste Segregation Drive" on 26th May 2026 as part of the nationwide World Environment Day (WED) 2026 Pre-Campaign (15 May – 5 June 2026) under “Mission LiFE”, as per the guidelines of UGC.
The pre-campaign will serve as a mass mobilization drive leading up to the global celebrations of World Environment Day 2026. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between passive awareness and active sustainable living by encouraging individuals to adopt eco-friendly practices and environmentally responsible habits in their daily lives.
Objectives of Event
- To promote awareness among students and staff regarding the importance of proper waste segregation and sustainable waste management practices.
- To encourage responsible environmental behavior and active participation in maintaining a clean and green campus.
- To support the objectives of “Mission Life” by motivating individuals to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.
- To educate participants about the segregation of biodegradable, non-biodegradable, recyclable, and hazardous waste.
