Overview
The Sharda School of Nursing Science and Research organized a one-day Cultural Diversity Event titled 'Unity in Diversity: Celebrating Cultural Harmony and Inclusion' on 30th May 2026 at Room No. 201, 2nd Floor, Sharda University, Greater Noida. The event was held from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM and aimed to celebrate the richness of different cultures, traditions, attire, music, dance forms, and social values represented by students from diverse geographical and cultural backgrounds.
The event was organized under the theme 'Promoting Cultural Respect, Inclusiveness, and Global Harmony through Diversity'. It sought to promote inclusiveness, intercultural understanding, equality, and peaceful coexistence among participants while strengthening awareness regarding cultural sensitivity and ethical social behavior.
Various activities were organized during the event, including cultural performances, traditional attire presentations, folk dance showcases, and interactive discussions. Participants enthusiastically represented their regional traditions and cultural heritage. The event successfully encouraged appreciation of cultural diversity, human values, social responsibility, and global citizenship.
Objectives of Event
1. To promote awareness and appreciation of different cultures, traditions, and values among students and faculty members, supporting SDG 4: Quality Education through inclusive and value-based learning.
2. To encourage mutual respect, equality, inclusiveness, and social harmony among individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds in alignment with SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.
3. To strengthen communication skills, teamwork, leadership qualities, and interpersonal relationships through multicultural participation, contributing to SDG 4: Quality Education.
4. To provide opportunities for students to actively participate in cultural exchange activities that enhance confidence, creativity, and social engagement.
