Overview
The Fine Art Club of the Cultural Society, under the wings of the Office of Dean Students’ Welfare, Sharda University, is thrilled to present a Rangoli Competition on 11th August 2025.
Objectives of Event
A Rangoli Making Competition will be organized on the theme "तिरंगा (Tiranga)" to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and creativity. Participants will create beautiful designs using vibrant colors, showcasing national symbols, the tricolor, and freedom-inspired patterns.
The event aims to highlight India’s cultural richness and unity, offering students an opportunity to express their love for the nation through traditional art.

Prizes:
· 1st Prize: ₹2000

Rules for Participation:
1. Theme-Based:
Rangolis must align with the theme (e.g., “तिरंगा”, Independence Day) and clearly reflect the concept.
2. Team Size:
A maximum of 2–3 members per team is allowed.
3. Materials:
o Participants must bring their own acrylic/poster colors.
o A2 sheets will be provided by the organizing team.
o Traditional Rangoli colors are not allowed.
4. Time Limit:
Rangolis must be completed within 2 hours.
5. Cleanliness:
Participants are expected to maintain cleanliness and clean their work area after the competition.
6. Labeling:
Each artwork must include a label/slip with the following details:
o Name
o Course
o System ID
o Branch
o Year
o Contact Number
This can be placed near the artwork or submitted at the registration desk.
7. Judging Criteria:
o Creativity
o Originality
o Relevance to theme
o Neatness
o Clarity
o Overall presentation
8. Final Decision:
The judges’ decision will be final and cannot be challenged.
9. Important Note:
Participants are strictly prohibited from painting the Indian National Flag on the A2 sheet, as it constitutes disrespect to the national symbol and is against the rules.
