Overview

It is with great pleasure that Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, announces the visit of a foreign delegation from the Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO-University), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, on Saturday, 15th November 2025, from 10:00 AM onwards.

As part of this visit, the following events will be hosted by Sharda School of Law (SSOL):

  1. A lecture on Comparison of Legislative Models in India and Russia, for 4th and 5th-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) students and Eklavya Scholars of SSOL.
  2. An Interactive Session with faculty members of SSOLon “Perception of Traditional Values in India and Legislative Regulation Regarding the Protection of Traditional Values in India”, aimed at exploring the similarities and differences in perspectives between the two countries (India and Russia).
  3. A Roundtable Discussion onMethods of Legal Protection of Traditional Values in BRICS+ Countries, with a Focus on India and Russia, engaging faculty members from both universities in an in-depth academic dialogue.
  4. Deliberation on a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) between MGIMO-University and SSOL.

Objectives of Event

§  To promote academic exchange between Sharda School of Law and MGIMO-University through collaborative discussions on legal and cultural frameworks.

§  To compare and analyze legislative models and legal approaches in India and Russia, particularly in the protection of traditional values.

§  To foster intercultural understanding of how traditional values shape contemporary legal systems within BRICS+ nations.

§  To provide students and faculty with exposure to comparative legal scholarship and international academic dialogue.

§  To explore opportunities for institutional collaboration through the discussion and potential signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MGIMO-University and SSOL.
