Overview
The Department of Mathematics & Data Science, Sharda School of Engineering & Science (SSES), Sharda University, Greater Noida is organising “Azadi Utsav-2026: Creativity, Knowledge & Innovation” to commemorate the spirit of India’s Independence through a series of creative, educational, and knowledge-oriented activities for students.
The initiative aims to provide students with a meaningful platform to express their creativity, enhance their knowledge, develop innovative thinking, and reflect upon the significance of independence in the context of education, scientific advancement, technology, and nation- building. The programme seeks to move beyond conventional celebration by connecting the spirit of independence with creativity, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, scientific temper, innovation, and responsible citizenship.
As part of the Utsav, a range of engaging activities and competitions will be organised for undergraduate students, including Poster Presentation, Creative Poster Making Competition, and Quiz Competition. These activities are designed to encourage students to explore ideas related to India’s journey of independence, its achievements and aspirations, and the role of knowledge, science, technology, mathematics, and innovation in shaping a progressive and self-reliant nation.
Through these activities, students will be encouraged to think creatively, communicate effectively, collaborate with peers, and develop an appreciation for the contribution of education, scientific knowledge, and innovation towards national development. The programme will provide an opportunity for students to showcase their talents while fostering curiosity, creativity, analytical thinking, and a spirit of innovation.
Azadi Utsav-2026: Creativity, Knowledge & Innovation is envisioned as a celebration of the spirit of freedom through the power of ideas—where creativity inspires possibilities, knowledge empowers individuals, and innovation contributes to the development of a stronger, smarter, and self-reliant India.
