Overview

In celebration of Hindi Diwas, Sharda School of Law is hosting भाषा से न्याय तक- Celebrating Hindi Diwas : a Hindi Recitation Competition focused on contemporary legal and social issues. Participants are invited to articulate their perspectives on justice, rights, and societal reform through a 2 to 3-minute presentation, utilizing formats ranging from short essays and structured prose to poems, songs, or shayari. This event provides a dynamic platform to bridge formal legal discourse with the expressive power of Hindi literature and oratory. By accommodating both analytical speeches and creative verse, the competition encourages students to communicate complex socio-legal realities with clarity, logic, and passion. It serves as an excellent opportunity for future legal professionals to practice persuasive advocacy while honoring our rich linguistic heritage.

Objectives of Event

  1. Promote Linguistic Pride: To celebrate Hindi Diwas by encouraging the use of Hindi as a powerful, articulate medium for both analytical and creative socio-legal discourse.
  2. Foster Versatile Advocacy: To enhance public speaking skills by allowing students to choose the most effective format for their message, whether through a structured essay, an impassioned speech, or evocative poetry.
  3. Encourage Critical Reflection: To stimulate intellectual thought on pressing societal challenges and constitutional rights using diverse forms of Hindi expression.
  4. Train Time-Bound Articulation: To help law students practice delivering concise, highly impactful, and persuasive arguments or narratives within a strict 2 to 3-minute timeframe.
  5. Build Academic Community: To cultivate a vibrant cultural environment where students can connect over shared linguistic heritage and jurisprudential values.
