Overview
Sharda School of Nursing Science and Research, Sharda University is organizing the Nurses Week Celebration on 12th May, on the occasion of International Nurses Day, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale and to honor the valuable contributions of nurses toward the health and well-being of society. The celebration aims to recognize the dedication, compassion, and professional commitment of nurses in strengthening healthcare services and patient care.
The event will include various academic, cultural, and recreational activities to promote creativity, teamwork, leadership, and professional development among nursing students and professionals. The theme, “Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives,” emphasizes the importance of empowering nurses to build a healthier and stronger future for all.

Objectives of Event
- To honour nurses by promoting creativity and teamwork. (SDG 3, SDG 17)
- To promote health, nutrition, and hygiene awareness through activities. (SDG 2, SDG 3)
- To encourage cultural diversity and inclusiveness. (SDG 5, SDG 10)
- To develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. (SDG 4, SDG 8)
- To promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices during the celebration. (SDG 12, SDG 13)
