Overview
Department of Biotechnology, SSBT/SSET in collaboration with SSBS and Alumni Cell, Sharda University is organizing an Alumni Talk on “People Management in Healthcare Industry and Unconscious Biasness” on 27th March 2025.
This event aims to empower university students and staff members with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable health care industry environment that respects, values and boosts everyone’s role in all its dimensions. It will give the opportunity to the students to learn from the experiences of one of their star Alumni and seek guidance from her from the career perspective.
Objectives of Event
1. To Enhance Communication and Leadership Skills for Future Healthcare Careers- Equip students with the tools to practice clear and concise communication, emotional intelligence, and empathy, which are essential for effective people management in the healthcare industry and building strong professional relationships.
2. To Raise Awareness about Unconscious Bias and Its Impact on Professional Growth- Educate students about unconscious bias, its effects on decision-making in healthcare and other industries, and provide strategies to recognize and combat bias, fostering more inclusive environments.
3. To Promote Trust, Resilience, and Problem-Solving as Key Elements of Success- Highlight how trust-building, resilience, and problem-solving skills are crucial for navigating challenges in the healthcare field, encouraging students to develop these skills for future leadership roles and successful career trajectories.
4. To Encourage a Growth Mindset by Sharing the Value of Learning from Failures- Inspire students to embrace failure as a natural part of personal and professional growth, emphasizing how setbacks can be transformed into learning opportunities and sources of strength.
5. To Foster the Importance of Building Supportive Relationships in Personal and Professional Development- Emphasize the role of friends, mentors, and professional networks in overcoming challenges, learning from failures, and creating a supportive environment that enables both personal and career growth.
