About FDP:

The two-week Offline Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of different aspects of pedagogy, research and writing skills. This FDP is designed to enhance the faculty competencies in the area of pedagogy ‘research and mentoring and encompasses various approaches to instruction, assessment, learning and mentoring.

The sessions in this module will delveinto talks on new age pedagogies, incorporating currency and relevancy into classroom teaching and research. It will also include deliberations on core principles of scientific research, the intricacies of crafting research designs, and practical approaches to conduct studies. Additionally, the program will cover essential aspects of data handling, including collection, organization, and statistical analysis, and will emphasize the communication of research findings through oral and written mediums. A special focus will be placed on strategies for disseminating research outcomes to a broad academic and professional audience, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to their respective field.

The delivery mode will be in person and for statistical analysis SPSS will be used.

Objectives of Event

  • To enhance teaching skills, update knowledge, and adapt to new pedagogy and educational policies, ultimately improving the quality of teaching and learning.
  • To equip educators with innovative teaching methods, research skills, and the ability to utilize technology effectively in the classroom. 
  • To address the growing need for research-based investigations into contemporary issues.
  • To impart knowledge about a range of research techniques, including but not limited to data collection, data analysis and effective presentation of findings.
  • To enable the participants to gain hands-on experience with statistical tools and methodologies that are integral to research.
