Sports Society, Office of the Dean Students’ Welfare is excited to announce that the try-outs for the students & players of Sharda University will be conducted. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring athletes to showcase their skills and potentially become a part of our competitive program.

Objectives of Event

1.    Talent Identification

oTo scout and identify talented athletes among freshers across various sports.

oTo discover new players who can represent the university at different levels (inter-college, state, national, etc.).

2.    Team Formation

oTo build or strengthen university sports teams with new talent.

oTo ensure each sport has a well-balanced and competitive team.

3.    Fair Selection Process

oTo provide an equal opportunity to all freshers to showcase their abilities in a structured, transparent, and merit-based manner.

4.    Encouragement & Motivation

oTo motivate freshers to actively participate in sports and physical activities.

oTo boost confidence and promote sportsmanship among new students.

5.    Fitness & Skill Assessment

oTo evaluate the physical fitness, technical skills, and game sense of participants.

oTo identify areas where coaching or improvement is needed.

6.    Building Sports Culture

oTo create awareness and enthusiasm about sports within the campus.

oTo foster a sense of community, teamwork, and healthy competition.

7.    Pathway to Scholarships & Recognition

oTo help students earn sports scholarships or get recognized for their athletic achievements.

oTo provide a platform for future participation in state or national-level tournaments.

8.    Promoting Inclusivity

oTo ensure students from all backgrounds and departments are included and given a chance to participate.

9.    Leadership Development

oTo identify potential leaders (captains, vice-captains) who can guide and motivate teams.

·  What to Bring: Athletic wear, Proper dress for concern Sport, Proper Kit, Non marking shoes, Racket, Water bottle, positive and Sportsmanship behavior!
