Overview
On the occasion of Happy Mother’s Day, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at the School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University organizing an oral health screening camp titled “Oral Health Awareness and Screening Camp”
The programme will promote oral health awareness among school children through dental check-ups, treatment referrals, and interactive educational sessions on oral hygiene maintenance and preventive dental care. The camp will focus on encouraging healthy oral hygiene practices at an early age and creating awareness regarding the importance of regular dental care. Through community outreach and health education activities, the initiative will contribute to the overall well-being of the students and promote equitable access to oral healthcare services.
Objectives of Event
The camp aimed to assess the oral health status of school children, provide necessary dental treatment referrals, and raise awareness about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. Along with dental screening and appropriate treatment advice, the students were educated about proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care.
As part of the initiative, pencils and notepads were distributed among the students to encourage learning and promote healthy habits. This programme reflects the commitment of the department towards community outreach, preventive healthcare, and improving oral health awareness among school children.
