The Environment Club under the aegis of Dean Students’ Welfare in collaboration with the SDG cell is organizing "Say To No Single Use of Plastic" Campaign for nationwide World Environment Day (WED) 2026 Pre-Campaign (15 May – 5 June 2026) under “Mission LiFE” as per the guidelines of UGC.

About the Event:

The pre-campaign will serve as a mass mobilization drive building up to global World Environment Day celebrations. It will bridge the gap between passive awareness and active, sustainable living by urging individuals to adopt eco-friendly daily habits.

Objectives of Event

  • To create awareness among students, faculty, staff, and the community about the harmful environmental impact of single-use plastics.
  • To encourage individuals to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives in their daily lives in alignment with the vision of “Mission LiFE”.
  • To promote responsible consumption and waste management practices for reducing plastic pollution on the university campus and beyond.
  • To inspire behavioural change by motivating participants to refuse, reduce, reuse, and recycle plastic products.
