Department of Life Sciences, Sharda School of Bioscience and Technology, Sharda University is organizing an ANRF sponsored 2 Days National Workshop on “Enzyme Manufacturing: Fermentation, Recovery and Application” on June 2-3, 2026. The event will see 5 invited lectures from scientists working on different aspects of Enzymes and Proteins.

Objectives of Event

  1. Fundamentals of industrial enzyme manufacturing - Submerged and solid-state fermentation techniques
  2. Media optimization and process control
  3. To perform enzyme assay and calculate the activity of enzyme
  4. To understand the applicability of enzymes in various industries viz. food and beverages, biofuel sectors and environmental management

  • Prof. Prashant Mishra, Professor, Department of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, IIT Delhi

Speaker Details:

  • Prof. Prashant Mishra is faculty member at IIT Delhi since 1991 and is currently, Professor (HAG) at Department of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, IIT Delhi. He is also President, Student Incubation Cell and was Faculty Mentor, Entrepreneurship Development Cell at IIT Delhi.
  • Prof. (Dr.) Saurabh Jyoti Sarma, is a professor in the department of biotechnology, Bennett University, Greater Noida. He has obtained his Ph.D. from University of Quebec, Canada in 2014. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary, Canada. He also served as a research fellow at IIT Guwahati for nearly 3 years.
  • Dr. Deepansh Sharma is working as Associate Professor at JC Bose University of Science and Technology, Faridabad, India. He is a microbiologist and researcher with 9+ years of teaching and research experience in industrial microbiology, biosurfactants, microbial biotechnology, PET biodegradation, and sustainable bioprocessing. Recognized among Stanford University’s World Top 2% Scientists.
  • Dr. Piyush Kumar Gupta is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj, India. His area of expertise includes Biomaterials, Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology, and Nanotoxicology.
  • Dr. Sushil Nagar is an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Biochemistry, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana, India. He obtained his M.Sc. in Biochemistry (2005) and Ph.D. in Biochemistry (2011) from Kurukshetra University.
