Overview

In pursuance of the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 08.05.2009 in Civil Appeal No. 887/2009, the UGC has notified the “Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009.” These regulations are mandatory and are to be strictly adhered to by all institutions.

As part of the efforts to create awareness and promote a ragging-free campus, NSS is organising Anti-Ragging Awareness Week from 8th to 12th September 2026 at Sharda University.
The objective of the week is to sensitise students about the harmful effects of ragging, promote a safe and respectful environment, and spread awareness regarding the consequences of ragging.

Events:

  • ???? Anti-Ragging Awareness Rally
  • ???? Nukkad Natak on Anti-Ragging
  • ???? Poster & Slogan Writing Competition
  • ???? Awareness Activities on Anti-Ragging

All students are encouraged to actively participate in the events and contribute towards making our campus safe, inclusive, and completely ragging-free.

Let us stand together against ragging and promote a culture of respect, dignity, and kindness.
