Overview

The Department of Electrical Electronics & Communication Engineering, Sharda School of Engineering & Sciences proposes to organize an industrial visit to VIVO Mobile India Pvt. Ltd., Plot No. 08, Sector 24, Gautam Buddha Nagar Greater Noida, for ECE/EEE/ENC 2nd Year students.

VIVO is a leading multinational mobile phone manufacturer in India, with its headquarters in Gurugram and its global brand headquarters in Dongguan, Guangdong, China. The Greater Noida unit is the company's factory in India, producing smartphones for the Indian market and for export under the Government of India's Make in India initiative. Guided by its core values of Design Driven, User Oriented, Team Spirit, and Continuous Learning, the company builds smartphones known for their appearance, acoustic fidelity, and display quality for young, urban consumers.

Objectives of Event

  1. To provide students with practical exposure to the smartphone manufacturing industry and the corporate work environment.
  2. To understand the production process of smartphones, including assembly, testing, and quality assurance.
  3. To observe the practical applications of automation, AI/ML, and emerging technologies in manufacturing and smart devices.
  4. To understand how the Make in India initiative supports domestic manufacturing and exports.
  5. To interact with industry professionals and gain insights into career opportunities, work culture, and the skills the industry requires.
  6. To help students relate classroom learning to real-world industrial practices and enhance their technical and professional skills.
