Overview

Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, is organising a distinguished lecture on “Practical overview of evidentiary value of Documentary Evidence as per Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023”. The session will be delivered by Adv. Himanshu Jain (Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court) Panel counsel for Directorate of Enforcement and  Founding member of Lex Focus Legit LLP and Himanshu Jain and Associates. This guest lecture gives LLB students a concise, high-impact overview of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023, transforming outdated evidence law into an electronic-age framework. It builds practical courtroom skills, aligns with exams and moots, and prepares future lawyers to confidently handle real cases involving both traditional and electronic evidence.

Objectives of Event

• To impart knowledge regarding the practical aspects of law.
• To outline the functionality cases related to law of evidence
• To provide the required guidance to the students with regard to old and new evidence law .

Expected Outcomes

After the guest lecture the students will be able to:

• Understand the concept and acquire practical knowledge of the law of evidence
• Understand the utility of evidence law in dealing with real-life cases.
• Identify the practical aspects which cannot be ignored while dealing with civil and criminal law cases.
• Practical learning on the various legal issues.
