Overview

The programme aims to familiarize participants with the basic interface, workflow, and key functionalities of CLO3D, including 3D model development, material and surface application, avatar-based visualization, and simulation techniques. The session will demonstrate how digital prototyping and visualization tools can enhance design thinking, accuracy, and experimentation across various design disciplines.

Objectives of Event

The objective of the Faculty Training Programme on “Understanding CLO3D Software” is to familiarize design faculty members with contemporary 3D visualization, simulation, and virtual prototyping tools used in modern design practice. The programme aims to develop a foundational understanding of the CLO3D interface and digital workflow, enabling participants to transform two-dimensional design inputs into accurate three-dimensional virtual models. It seeks to enhance faculty awareness of material simulation, structural evaluation, and digital experimentation while highlighting the academic and industry relevance of virtual design environments. The training also aims to promote efficient and sustainable design processes by reducing dependence on physical prototypes and encouraging the integration of digital tools into teaching methodologies, studio pedagogy, curriculum development, and design-oriented research.
