Overview

BLS Provider Course authorized by the American Heart Association (AHA) and conducted by the Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI). 

  • Training Methodology – It is a Pre-reading course with video assisted hands on training, which will be taught by using manikins, training videos.
  • Method of evaluation – Objective MCQs with practical exam.

 Course Structure:

BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider: A comprehensive one (1) day that covers essential techniques of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), use of AED and handling life-threatening emergencies.

(ii) Certification from AHA:

BLS Provider e-Card valid for 2 years will be issued to the student upon successful completion of theory and skills test with the score of 84%.


(iii) Course fee: Rs 4000 per Student and Course fee will include e-book, e- card, training, lunch and tea (2 times)

Objectives of Event

BLS Course Objectives:

  •  Describe the importance of high-quality CPR.
  •  Describe and apply all the steps of the chain of survival.
  •  Recognize the signs of cardiac arrest and initiation of CPR.
  •  Perform high quality CPR for an adult, child and infant.
  •  Perform the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  •  Provide effective ventilation by using a barrier device.
  •  Describe the signs of choking and techniques for relief of foreign body obstruction for adult, child and infant.
