Overview
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell, Sharda University, Greater Noida, under the Dean Student Welfare (DSW), is organising a Diwali Celebration at Ramlal Old Age Home on 04 November 2026 (Wednesday). The celebration will bring Sharda University students together with the residents of the old age home to share the joy of the festival of lights through music, interaction and gifts.
The initiative aims to extend the spirit of Diwali beyond the campus and to the senior citizens who often celebrate the festival away from their families. The programme will include musical performances and a gift distribution to the residents of the home.
Objectives of Event
- To promote community service, empathy and social responsibility among the students of Sharda University by engaging them directly with the senior citizens of Ramlal Old Age Home.
- To give the senior citizens a warm, festive and memorable Diwali.
- To promote experiential learning and strengthen the university's connection with the community by giving students a chance to contribute to society beyond the classroom.
