Sharda School of Nursing Science & Research, Sharda University, is organizing “National Newborn Care Week Celebration, 2025" on 17th and 18th November, 2025. The eventaims to promote awareness and strengthen knowledge among nursing students and healthcare professionals regarding essential newborn care practices.

 

National Newborn Care Week Celebration,2025 Theme is “Safety, Quality and Nurturing care – Birth Right of Every Newborn”. The event focused on key aspects of neonatal care, such as early initiation of breastfeeding, thermal protection, infection prevention, and immunization. Various educational and interactive activities, including Role Play, Poster Presentations, and Quiz Sessions, were conducted to enhance participants’ understanding. It also reinforced the commitment toward achieving SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, by ensuring that every newborn receives the care needed for a healthy start in life

Objectives of Event

·     To promote awareness about the importance of safety, quality, and nurturing care as fundamental rights of every newborn. (SDG 3)

·     To enhance knowledge and skills related to neonatal care, including breastfeeding, infection prevention, thermal care, and immunization. (SDG 3)

·     To encourage active learning through educational and interactive activities such as role plays, poster presentations, and quiz sessions focused on neonatal health. (SDG 4)

·     To reinforce the commitment towards achieving SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, ensuring every newborn receives equitable, safe, and high-quality care.
