Overview

The primary objective of this event is to organize a technical visit for students to the substations at Sharda University to enhance practical knowledge of substation components such as distribution transformers, switchgear, and protection systems for line and equipment faults.

Objectives of Event

• To provide students with practical exposure to the operation of distribution transformers used in substations.
• To familiarize students with capacitor banks and their role in power factor improvement and reactive power compensation.
• To help students understand substation protection systems, including relays and circuit breakers, for the detection and isolation of line faults.
• To enhance students’ overall understanding of substation layout, safety practices, and real-time operation of transmission and distribution systems at Sharda University.
