Department of Community Medicine, Sharda School of Medical Sciences and Research,Sharda Hospital, Sharda University in collaboration with the IAPSM-UP UK Chapter is observing “World Immunization Week” on 30th April 2026. The theme of World Immunization Week, 2026 is “For every generation, vaccines work”.

Objectives of Event

  • Strengthen public understanding of the science behind vaccine safety and effectiveness enabling individuals, families, and communities to make informed immunization decisions.
  • Equip health workers with the skills and tools to communicate clearly and compassionately about vaccines, helping families who are hesitant or have questions feel informed, heard, and confident in their immunization decisions.
  • To enhance the knowledge, skills, and confidence of healthcare professionals and students, in delivering evidence-based immunization services, addressing vaccine hesitancy, and understanding the evolving landscape of vaccine technology across the life course.
