Overview

An academic visit to exhibition organized by the Sharda School of Design for students “The Mute Eloquence of the Taj Mahal: Ba-zaban-e Be-zabani” held at DAG, Janpath, New Delhi. The exhibition presents the Taj Mahal as a symbol that ‘speaks’ through silence, using visual and historical narratives spanning three centuries. The visit offered students an opportunity to experience curatorial storytelling, spatial design, and heritage interpretation firsthand.

Objectives of Event

  • Foster understanding of how exhibitions communicate cultural and architectural narratives through curation and design.
  • Develop students’ skills in visual observation, heritage appreciation, and documentation.
  • Encourage experiential learning by analyzing the Taj Mahal’s historical, artistic, and emotional representation.
  • Relate spatial exhibition design to theoretical concepts in art, architecture, and interior studies
