Overview

The Department of Biotechnology, Sharda School of Biosciences & Technology (SSBT) is organizing an Industry Visit and Pre-Placement Interaction for final-year B.Tech Biotechnology students at iGene Labserve Pvt. Ltd. on 15th December 2025. iGene Labserve is an emerging leader in providing advanced scientific solutions in laboratory instrumentation across healthcare, genomics and proteomics, drug discovery, biopharma, and food and beverage sectors. The visit aims to give students valuable exposure to cutting-edge technologies, innovative laboratory practices, and industry expectations. This interactive session will enhance their understanding of real-world applications, reduce skill gaps, and support pre-placement readiness through meaningful interactions with industry experts.

Objectives of Event

Objectives of the Visit for B.Tech Biotechnology Students

1. To expose students to real-time industrial environments: by providing firsthand understanding of advanced laboratory instrumentation and technologies used in healthcare, genomics, proteomics, drug discovery, biopharma, and food & beverage

sectors.

2. To bridge academic learning with industry practices: by familiarizing students with modern laboratory workflows, quality control processes, and technological innovations adopted by leading biotechnology companies like iGene Labserve Pvt. Ltd.

3. To enhance students’ career readiness with internship: Through meaningful internship and pre-placement interactions, enabling them to understand industry expectations, required skill sets, and potential career pathways in the biotechnology and life sciences sector.

4. To develop practical insights and problem-solving skills: by observing how industry professionals approach scientific challenges, maintain operational efficiency, and deliver reliable solutions to customers.

5. To encourage professional networking and industry engagement: by facilitating direct interaction with experienced engineers, technical specialists, and service experts, thereby strengthening students’ confidence and industry awareness.
