Overview

The Juvenile Justice Wing of Pro Bono Club, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, is organising a Psychological Counselling Session cum Donation Drive for girls (below 18 years of age) and infants (0–2 years) residing at the (Government) Child Care Institution, Gautam Budh Nagar).

These girls include those who are victims of abuse, survivors of exploitation, abandoned, orphaned, or in conflict with the law. They represent some of the most vulnerable sections of our society.

Through this initiative, we aim to extend not only material support (clothes, books, stationery, art & craft materials, bedsheets, blankets, toiletries, etc.) but also emotional strength through a structured counselling session. The session will help them cope with trauma, build resilience, and regain hope for a better future.

Objectives of Event

  1. To extend a healing hand by providing counselling and emotional support to young girls in distress.
  2. To organise a donation drive that addresses their day-to-day needs and enhances their dignity and comfort.
  3. To assist the government in its mission of rehabilitation and reintegration of children into society.
  4. To inculcate a sense of responsibility, compassion, and active citizenship among law students.

Expected Outcomes

  • Girls will gain confidence, motivation, and coping strategies through personalised counselling.
  • Access to essential items will improve their living conditions and quality of life.
  • The government-run Child Care Institution will receive valuable support in meeting urgent needs.
  • Students will develop firsthand understanding of juvenile justice, empathy towards vulnerable groups, and a lifelong commitment to social justice.
