Overview

Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, is organising an enriching community connect visit and awareness drive to Nagla Charandas Village, Gautam Buddha Nagar, as part of its ongoing efforts towards community engagement and social responsibility. Students will actively engage with the community during the visit and gather data by administering structured questionnaires.
 
The visit aims to foster a strong community connection and raise awareness about various government schemes available for rural development in India.

Objectives of Event

  1. To educate rural communities about the existence, eligibility, and benefits of key government schemes related to health, education, and livelihood. -SDG: SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities)
  2. To promote active involvement and engagement of the rural population in utilising government resources for their social and economic development. -SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities)
  3. To spread legal awareness about citizens’ rights, especially regarding access to social welfare schemes, ensuring informed decision-making. -SDG: SDG 4 (Quality Education)
  4. Bridge the gap between rural communities and government agencies, enabling smoother access to schemes. -SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure)
