Overview

Sharda School of Humanities & Social Sciences (SSHSS) is back with the second edition of “Phoolon Ki Holi” a traditional celebration of Holi and Spring for the entire Sharda Family. The event is designed to observe the festival of Holi in a traditional and eco-friendly manner, using natural flower petals and submitting to the divine energy. The programme will include kirtan, abhishekam, and distribution of satvik prasadam for all the attendees. 

The initiative aims to promote cultural awareness, harmony, and collective participation within the student community, while presenting the cultural essence of Holi to our diverse Global student body. The event is open to all students, faculty members, officers, and staff of the University.

Objectives of Event

• Promote Cultural Awareness and Appreciation: The celebration aims to provide students with profound insights into India's cultural and philosophical heritage. 

• Self-Awakening and Intellectual Empowerment:  Encouraging students to embrace their civilizational roots and develop a holistic worldview. 

• Social and Mental Health Objectives: The togetherness experienced during this festival will enable them to cultivate a stronger cultural identity, intellectual strength, and ethical clarity, helping them navigate                 contemporary challenges with wisdom and resilience.

• Preserve Historical Knowledge: To highlight the significance of ancient traditions and cultural heritage, emphasizing their positive impact on modern societies and their relevance in contemporary contexts.

• Encourage the spirit of unity: To inspire oneness amongst all diverse nationalities and communities.
