Overview

Sustain-A-Thon 2025 is a 24-hour national-level hackathon organized by Sharda School of Computing Science & Engineering (SSCSE). The event is aligned with Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 themes and the Viksit Bharat 2047 Mission, aiming to foster innovation and sustainable technological solutions. Scheduled for October 3–4, 2025, the hackathon will bring together 100+ teams (~300 students) from across 20+ states. Participants will undergo a three-stage process: idea submission, online technical screening, and the grand finale on campus, where they will develop prototypes under continuous mentoring. The event will be supported by 60+ industry experts, 15+ academic/industry evaluators, and industry leaders

Objectives of Event

The primary objective of Sustain-A-Thon 2025 is to create a platform for innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving that addresses real-world challenges in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and India’s national vision for 2047. Specifically, the event aims to:

 

  • Encourage student-led innovations in domains such as clean energy, digital health, cybersecurity, agri-tech, and disaster management.

  • Provide hands-on learning experiences through prototyping, mentoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Strengthen the industry-academia connect, creating opportunities for recruitment, sponsored research, and corporate partnerships.

  • Promote entrepreneurship and startup culture by nurturing solutions with incubation, patenting, and commercialization potential.

  • Position Sharda University as a hub of innovation, contributing to improved academic reputation, NAAC/NIRF benchmarks, and national-level recognition.
