Overview

Sharda School of Allied Health Sciences, Sharda University, is organizing a “From Research Questions to Evidence Synthesis: A Hands-on Workshop on Research Design, Systematic Reviews, Meta-analysis, and Bias Assessment Tools”, scheduled from 23 March to 25 March 2026.

About the Event:

Sharda School of Allied Health Sciences, Sharda University, is organizing a three-day intensive workshop titled “From Research Questions to Evidence Synthesis: A Hands-on Workshop on Research Design, Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analysis, and Bias Assessment Tools” from 23rd to 25th March (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM).

This workshop is specially designed for PG and PhD scholars to strengthen their competencies in clinical research and evidence synthesis. The program will begin with an in-depth focus on experimental research design, particularly Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs), including sampling techniques, CONSORT guidelines, ethical considerations, and CTRI registration. The second day will cover systematic review methodology and meta-analysis, emphasizing PRISMA guidelines, structured literature search, data extraction, heterogeneity assessment, and interpretation of forest plots. The final day will focus on risk of bias assessment using standardized tools such as RoB 2 along with publication bias evaluation.

The workshop aims to equip participants with practical, hands-on skills to design high-quality research studies, conduct robust systematic reviews, and critically appraise scientific evidence in alignment with international methodological standards.
