Overview

Legal Aid Society, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Gautam Budh Nagar, is facilitating student participation in the National Lok Adalat on 12 September 2026 at Surajpur Court, Gautam Budh Nagar.

The initiative provides students with an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the functioning of Lok Adalat and the practical application of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), while developing a deeper understanding of access to justice and legal aid.

Objectives of Event

• To develop students’ practical understanding of the concept, functioning and legal framework of Lok Adalat.
• To familiarise students with Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanismsand their role in efficient and amicable dispute resolution.
• To create awareness among students and the community about access to justice, free legal aid and the role of Legal Services Authorities.
• To provide students with experiential learning through direct engagement with legal institutions and justice-delivery processes.
• To sensitise students towards the importance of affordable, accessible and expeditious justice.
