Overview

The Department of Biotechnology organized an Expert Lecture on Plant Biotechnology delivered by Prof. Manoj Prasad from the University of Delhi. The lecture focused on recent advances in plant genomics, molecular breeding, and strategies for developing stress-resilient crops. Prof. Prasad shared valuable insights into current research trends and emphasized the role of biotechnology in ensuring sustainable agriculture and food security. The session was interactive and provided students with meaningful exposure to emerging opportunities in plant science research.

Objectives of Event

  • To provide comprehensive exposure to recent advances in plant biotechnology, genomics, and molecular breeding for B.Tech students, Ph.D. scholars, and faculty members.
  • To bridge theoretical knowledge with practical research applications in crop improvement and stress biology.
  • To encourage research-oriented thinking, innovation, and higher academic pursuits among students.
  • To facilitate academic interaction, scientific discussion, and potential research collaborations between scholars and faculty.
  • To strengthen understanding of sustainable agricultural solutions through modern biotechnological approaches.
