This event is a specialized workshop designed to introduce students to the professional ecosystem of archaeology beyond the academic sphere. This workshop at Pt Deendayal Institute of Archaeology, Greater Noida aims at giving exposure to the students on the discipline of archaeology on ground. It is aimed.

Objectives of Event

To help students distinguish between history (based on written texts) and archaeology (based on material remains).

To understand the difference between finding a site (village-to-village survey) and digging a site (systematic excavation).

To understand how ASI archaeologists identify different cultural layers based on soil color, texture, and the artifacts found within them.
