Overview

Sharda School of Design is organizing an engaging workshop titled “Blooming Space” by artist Manish Ranjan. The workshop will explore the creative potential of materials, textures, techniques, and interdisciplinary design approaches. The session aims to encourage students to move beyond conventional applications, strengthen their understanding of materials, and explore how experimentation and creative thinking can translate simple materials into meaningful design solutions across various design disciplines

Objectives of Event

The intended objectives are to:

• To provide students with hands-on experience in exploring different materials, textures, and creative techniques.

• To develop an understanding of how materials can inspire and shape innovative design concepts.

• To encourage interdisciplinary thinking by integrating materials, methods, and ideas from various design disciplines.

• To strengthen students’ creative thinking, experimentation, material-handling, and problem-solving skills through practical activities.

• To inspire students to move beyond conventional material applications by exploring layering, fusion, surface development, and material manipulation
