Advanced Workshop on Craniofacial Identification and Reconstruction on 22nd September 2025.
Objectives of Event
- To gain knowledge of various methods for craniofacial identification (facial reconstruction, restoring facial features and Skull-photo superimposition).
- Practical demonstration of age and sex determination from skulls
- To understand the skills of photography for Craniofacial Analysis
- Hands on 2D facial reconstruction.
Outcomes of the Event:
- Students will be able to differentiate various craniofacial identification methods being practiced in forensic investigation, including facial reconstruction, restoration of facial features, and skull-photo superimposition.
- Effectively utilize photographic techniques specifically tailored for craniofacial analysis to aid forensic identification processes.
- Independently carry out 2D facial reconstructions, accurately representing facial features based on anatomical markers.
- This lecture will lead the students to determine the age and gender from human skull using forensic anthropological methods.
