Overview
The Department of ophthalmology, School of Medical Sciences and Research, Sharda HOspital,Sharda University is organizing camp on the occasion of "World Glaucoma Week”at RHTC Panchyatan Sharda Hospital on 10th March 2026.
Glaucoma is a term used to describe a group of diseases of the eye characterized by progressive and irreversible damage to the optic nerve (nerve of the eye responsible for vision) and if untreated can lead to irreversible blindness. Glaucoma is a silent thief of sight.

Objectives of Event
- To create mass public awareness about Glaucoma
- To motivate people to get regular eye checkup and glaucoma screening especially those who are 40 years and above
- Promote Early Detection
- Reduce Burden of Blindness
