Overview

The Department of EECE, Sharda School of Engineering and Science, in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), is organizing two enriching student activities:  Standards Writing Competition on  27th March 2026 and an Industrial Visit to MEPL on 30th March, 2026 and an Essay Competition on 31st March 2026 titled “Significance of Quality Standards and Standardization in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.” These initiatives aim to provide students with practical exposure to manufacturing processes, energy efficiency practices, industry norms and standards and the importance of standardization in engineering.

Objectives of Event

  • Provide students with firsthand experience of air conditioning systems, manufacturing processes, and testing procedures during the industrial visit.
  • Highlight the importance of quality standards, safety, and energy efficiency practices in electrical and electronics engineering.
  • Bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industrial practices through collaboration with BIS.
  • Foster analytical and writing skills among students through the essay competition on standardization and quality assurance.
  • Equip students with knowledge of industry norms and BIS’s role, contributing to their academic growth and career readiness
