Sharda School of Law (SSOL), Sharda University, is pleased to announce that it is entering into an MoU with the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF), a professional body representing leading law firms in India. SILFis a collective body of India’s Tier – 1 corporate law firms, established in the year 2000 to work for the promotion and protection of interests of the entire legal community. Under the abled leadership of its President, Dr. Lalit Bhasin, SILF strives to facilitate harmony and intellectual interaction amongst its members. Furthering Dr. Bhasin’s vision, SILF also contributes towards refining the quality of legal education in India. Currently, it unites 125 top-notch Indian law firms and is incessantly forwarding their concerns. The MoU signing ceremony is scheduled on Wednesday, 23^rd September, 2026, at 10:30 AM.

Objectives of Event

·         To formally mark the commencement of institutional collaboration between Sharda School of Law, Sharda University and the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF).

·         To strengthen the linkage between legal education and contemporary law-firm practice by creating opportunities for practitioner engagement in teaching and learning.

·         To facilitate collaboration in curriculum design, organizing guest lectures, research, publications, and other professional development initiatives.

·         To create structured opportunities for students through internships, mentorship, skills competitions, and an embedded clinical semester programme.

·         To establish a sustainable institutional framework for collaborative activities, including the proposed SILF–Sharda Centre for Law Firm Studies.
