Overview
Department of Physics & Environmental Sciences (SSES), Sharda University is delighted to announce the launch of its Non-Credit Value Added Course, “Sustainable Solid Waste Management: Concepts and Practical Approaches” (NV32010). The value-added education courses aim to provide additional learner centric graded skill oriented technical training, with the primary objective of improving the employability skills of students.
Objectives of Event
- To provide practical exposure to solid waste management systems and sustainable waste handling practices.
- To enhance awareness of waste segregation, recycling, resource recovery, and circular economy principles.
- To familiarize students with modern waste treatment technologies, including composting, biomethanation, and waste-to-energy systems.
- To encourage critical thinking through field visits, case studies, and interactions with industry experts and municipal authorities.
- To develop environmentally responsible attitudes and promote innovative solutions for sustainable waste management.
