Overview
As part of the Pride Month celebrations and its commitment to promoting inclusive healthcare, the Department of Public Health Dentistry, School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University, is organizing an Oral Health Camp for the Transgender Community on 7th July 2026 in New Delhi. The initiative aims to improve access to quality oral healthcare while fostering awareness about oral hygiene and preventive dental care among an the population.
Objectives of Event
- To deliver comprehensive oral health screening and preventive dental care services to the transgender community through an accessible outreach program.
- To enhance awareness regarding oral diseases, preventive oral healthcare practices, and the significance of maintaining optimal oral hygiene for overall well-being.
- To facilitate the early identification of oral health conditions and to ensure timely referral of individuals requiring specialized dental treatment.
- To promote equitable access to oral healthcare by fostering an inclusive, respectful, and community-centered approach in alignment with the principles of health equity and social inclusion.
