Overview

Skill training using OSCE method of Clinical Examination is most popular technique in health care academic for students nursing education. Even though OSCE is a frequently used method in health professions specially in nursing education to evaluate students' clinical competency.

 

CPR is a lifesaving technique that involves chest Compression and rescue breaths to maintain blood circulation until professional help arrives; it is an essential component of basic life on Compression only life support by appropriate steps and sequence to save life in emergency situation for quick recover. An OSCE is a performance-based assessment that evaluates students in a simulated work environment; the students rotate through multiple stations where they perform and are assessed on specific tasks.

BLS  is a method used to train people regarding Lifesaving skills which comprise of compression only life support, in which 30  quality Compression are given with no ventilation. This method is best suitable for single rescuer case.

Objectives of Event

The event objectives focus to:

1) To asses  the  BLS  competency  among nursing students by using OSCEE checklist

2) To evaluate the effectiveness  of  BLS  demonstration  on competency    among the nursing students
