Overview

This session will provide B.Pharm students with an understanding of how forecasting and data analytics are used in the pharmaceutical industry to predict medicine demand, plan production, manage inventory, and analyze market trends. Students will learn the importance of accurate forecasting in avoiding shortages or excess stock and how data analytics helps companies make better decisions using real-world data.

 

The session will also introduce basic forecasting models and data analysis tools used in the pharma sector. Simple examples and case studies will be discussed, such as predicting the demand for medicines during a flu season or analyzing sales data to plan for a new drug launch.

 

By the end of the session, students will understand how data-driven decision-making improves efficiency in the pharma industry and how these skills can open new career opportunities in pharma analytics, market research, and supply chain management.
