Overview

The Department of Civil Engineering is organizing a guest lecture on “Important Infrastructure Projects of Indian Railways” for its students. The session will provide an in-depth understanding of landmark railway projects in India, including their planning, design, construction, and operational aspects. Students will gain insights into the engineering challenges, innovative solutions, and sustainable practices adopted in modern railway infrastructure. The lecture aims to bridge academic knowledge with real-world applications, inspiring students to explore career and research opportunities in railway and transportation engineering.

Objectives of Event

1. To familiarize students with major infrastructure projects undertaken by Indian Railways and their significance for national development.

2. To expose students to the technical, managerial, and sustainability aspects involved in large-scale railway projects.

3. To inspire students to explore professional and research opportunities in railway engineering and allied fields.
