Overview

Sharda School of Allied Health Sciences, Sharda University is organizing a Guest Lecture on “Leveraging e-resources for academic excellence,” scheduled on 20 March 2026.

About the Event:

Access to subscribed e-resources has become essential for modern teaching, learning, and research. Universities invest in numerous digital databases, e-journals, e-books, and research platforms that provide reliable and up-to-date scholarly information. This seminar aims to guide students, faculty members, and researchers on how to effectively access and utilize these campus-subscribed resources. It will cover methods of on-campus and remote access, navigation of major academic databases, and strategies for locating high-quality research literature. Participants will also learn how to maximize the use of institutional subscriptions to support academic writing, evidence-based research, and knowledge discovery while avoiding reliance on unreliable or non-peer-reviewed sources available on the internet.

Objectives of Event

·         To familiarize participants with campus-subscribed e-resources such as e-journals, e-books, and academic databases available through the institution.

·         To demonstrate effective methods of accessing and navigating these resources, both on-campus and through remote access systems.

·         To enhance research and academic writing skills by enabling participants to locate credible, peer-reviewed scholarly literature efficiently.
