Overview
A cutting-edge educational event focused on advancing the management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Keeping this in mind , On the occasion of National IAOMR Day 2026, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, School of Dental Sciences,Sharda University is organizing a workshop on REVOLUTIONIZING THE POWER OF ARTHROCENTESIS & BOTOX- A LIVE DEMONSTRATION. This program highlights the transformative role of arthrocentesis and Botox therapy in providing minimally invasive, effective pain relief and functional improvement. Through expert lectures and practical insights, participants will gain a deeper understanding of modern TMJ care, enhancing their clinical skills and patient outcomes.
Objectives of Event
1. To enhance understanding of the etiology, pathophysiology, and clinical presentation of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and migraine.
2. To introduce the principles and indications of arthrocentesis as a minimally invasive therapeutic modality in the management of TMJ disorders.
3. To provide knowledge on the role of botulinum toxin (Botox) in the management of myofascial pain
dysfunction syndrome (MPDS) and migraine.
4. To demonstrate the clinical techniques involved in arthrocentesis and Botox administration, including
armamentarium, procedural steps, and post-operative care.
