Overview

The guest lecture on Hill Architecture by Ms. Nayana Singh will provide students with insights into the architectural practices, design challenges, and sustainable solutions in hilly regions. The session aims to enrich students’ understanding of vernacular and contemporary approaches, while addressing the unique climatic, structural, and cultural contexts of hill architecture.

Objectives of Event

The intended Objectives are to:

·       Familiarize students with the fundamentals and uniqueness of Hill Architecture.

·       Understand the challenges of designing in hilly terrains and strategies to overcome them.

·       Explore sustainable, vernacular, and modern design interventions.

·        Connect theoretical architectural concepts with practical case studies.
