Overview

The Faculty Development Program on International Business Simulation (ibizsim), conducted by Dr. Ashok Ullal, will provide participants with an immersive learning experience in global business decision-making. The program will introduce faculty members to the ibizsim platform, enabling them to understand complex international market dynamics through hands-on simulation exercises. Dr. Ullal will guide participants in strategic planning, competitive analysis, financial decision-making, and cross-functional coordination within a simulated global environment. The FDP aimed to enhance teaching pedagogy by integrating experiential learning tools, ultimately equipping educatorsto better prepare students for real-world international business challenges.

The Event details are as follows:

Date: 15th to 19th December 2025 ( 5 days)

Timings: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm

Venue: Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), First Floor, Block 45

Objectives of Event

  1. To familiarize faculty members with the ibizsim platform and its application in teaching international business concepts through experiential learning.
  2. To enhance understanding of global business dynamics, including market entry strategies, competition, international marketing, finance, and operations within a simulated environment.
  3. To equip participants with hands-on experience in making strategic decisions related to pricing, production, distribution, and financial management in an international business context.
  4. To strengthen pedagogical practices by integrating technology-enabled simulations to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
  5. To develop the ability to analyse real-time business scenarios and interpret results generated by the simulation to support evidence-based decision-making.
  6. To promote collaborative learning through team-based simulation activities that reflect real-world cross-functional business challenges.
  7. To empower faculty to use business simulations effectively in classroom teaching, assessments, and case-based discussions.
