Overview

The Department of Life Sciences, Sharda School of Bio-Science & Technology, is organising a community connect visit to Ladpur, Village, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on November 08, 2025.  This visit will provide students with an opportunity to engage directly with local communities, understand their socio-economic, educational, and health-related challenges, and contribute towards sustainable and inclusive development. The visit aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application by enabling students to apply their learning in a socially relevant manner, while fostering responsibility, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

Objectives of Event

  • To study local issues and prepare evidence-based recommendations in the form of structured policy reports for possible use by governance bodies or local authorities.
  • To promote literacy and education through digital literacy workshops, reading initiatives, and inclusive outreach programs specifically designed for women, children, and the elderly.
  • To conduct awareness drives about hygiene and sanitation, women's health in collaboration with Anganwadi centres, and ASHA workers.
  • To measure Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) and Skill Enrolment Ratio (SER), and propose strategies for improving enrolment in schools and vocational courses.
  • To create awareness and conduct sensitization programs on government policies and schemes such as Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awaas Yojana, MNERGA, and Skill India, etc.
