Overview

Sharda School of Nursing Science and Research, along with the Department of Community Medicine (SMSR), is organizing a one-day Health Camp in the community to provide comprehensive healthcare services, including general medical check-up, dental screening, eye check-up, health education, counselling, role plays, and referral services.

The camp will be conducted in collaboration with doctors from the Department of Community Medicine and the Primary Health Center (PHC) Panchayatan, along with the active participation of B.Sc. Nursing students.

 

Students will be engaged in registration, vital signs assessment, health education, role play, counselling, and feedback under the supervision of faculty and medical officers. This initiative will not only provide medical relief to the community but will also serve as a learning experience for students to strengthen their clinical and community health skills.

Objectives of Event

  • To provide accessible and affordable healthcare services to the community.
  • To screen and identify common health problems such as hypertension, diabetes, dental issues, and eye defects.
  • To offer health counselling and education on nutrition, hygiene, maternal-child health, lifestyle diseases, and mental health.
  • To create awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and regular health check-ups.
  •  promote community participation and responsibility in maintaining health and well-being.
