The Office of the Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW), in association with the Sharda School of Humanities & Social Sciences (SSHSS) and the School of Dental Sciences (SDS), Sharda University, is organizing Yog Saptaaha 2026, a week-long celebration in observance of the International Day of Yoga 2026 under the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”

The initiative aims to promote awareness about the significance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being and to encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyles among the university community. Various activities and events will be conducted throughout the week, ensuring the active participation of Deans of all Schools, Heads of Departments, faculty members, non-teaching staff, employees, and students of the University.

The sessions are open to all members of the Sharda University community, fostering inclusive participation and collective engagement in promoting health and wellness.

The week-long celebration will culminate with the observance of the International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2026, bringing together the Sharda fraternity in a shared commitment towards health, wellness, and mindful living.

All members of the University community are cordially invited to actively participate in the celebrations and particularly in the International Day of Yoga programme on 21 June 2026. Your participation will help strengthen the collective spirit of wellness and further promote the message of holistic health and healthy ageing through yoga.

Objectives of Event

  1. To foster intellectual curiosity and promote awareness and interest in yogic sciences among the Sharda University community.
  2. To provide a platform for participants to showcase their knowledge and understanding of yoga.
  3. To encourage participation in co-curricular activities that contribute to the holistic development of individuals.
  4. To strengthen the culture of health, wellness, and mindfulness within the University community.
  5. To recognize and reward participants for their excellence and achievements in yoga-related activities and knowledge.
